10 Tips for Get the Perfect Valentine's Gift for Your Boyfriend

Still looking for the perfect Valentine's gift for your boyfriend but worried you'll be swept away by Valentine's mania? Here are some tips on creating more personalized, caring Valentine's gifts for the special boy or man in your life that will show just how much you care

Steps

1. Find out what his love language is. People value different things when it comes to expressions of love. If your boyfriend feels most loved when he hears words of affirmation or receives physical touch, he will appreciate loving words or a back rub more than a gift wrapped bottle of after shave. If he values acts of service, think about something you can do for him -- perhaps a project or chore he's been putting off -- and do it!

Well, I've had my eye on this big fishing rod...
2. Ask first! About a week before Valentine's Day, talk to your boyfriend and ask if he has anything special in mind that he'd appreciate. Don't badger him; just ask pointedly once and work from his answers. If he can't give you any, suggest that he thinks about it for a bit and to get back to you later that same day. If he doesn't have any ideas, don't pressure him!

3. Match your gift ideas with the type of romancing he fancies. Does he really appreciate a romantic approach that will involve booking a special restaurant for a five-course meal or filling the swimming pool with rose petals? Or is he more comfortable with just the usual night on the town with lots of laughter and favorite beers as the two of you pub crawl? Take advantage of what you know about him to craft the ultimate gift or experience.

4. Do something for him rather than giving him something. If he has long wanted his hair dyed black, you could buy him some hair dye and prepare a home salon and dye it for him. Make sure you feel confident enough to get it right! You could also do this for home pedicures, massages, a yoga lesson, being a style assistant for a new look, etc. - anything you have said you'd get around to helping him do or learn some day.

5. Go homemade. It's not just about buying stuff. Valentine's is really about showing that you care. Make your boyfriend a card that says how much you love him. Write a poem or some sweet prose. Anything to say how much you care about him and the reasons why. Many people just love being told the exact reasons why they matter so much; this can be the best gift of all.

6. Give a kiss for a gift! Guys sometimes would just like a passionate kiss. If you haven't given him one yet, wow, this will be special. But most of you will have already kissed; so it's how you present the kiss that matters. Take him somewhere unique and make the kiss something out of the ordinary. For example, take a trip up a cable car, take him in your arms in the cable car and say: "We are kissing on top of this mountain in a cable car because you put me on top of the world, I love you completely". Kiss so long that the crowd claps you both.

7. Bake something for your sweetheart. Bake some heart-shaped cookies with hundreds and thousands and "I love you" printed on them in icing. Arrange in a box and present it to him with a card.

8. Stock the bar or man cave. Stock up your boyfriend's favorite drink supplies as a nice surprise. Be sure to add some snack food treats as well, and perhaps even a book on making cocktails or the history of beer. You might also like to consider something he can hang in the bar, such as autographed sports, TV, or movie star memorabilia.

9. Decorate a photo of the two of you. Choose a perfect photo of the two of you, decorate a frame for it and write a little something to go with it, including why this photo means a lot to you. This is a very personalized and caring gift. You can even make a wallet-sized one and include a new wallet if you've got a good idea what sort of wallet he'd like. Put a good luck heart or coin in it as well.

10.  If you're out of ideas try some traditional stand-bys:
  • Chocolates. Go for dark chocolates with strong flavors like rum and raisin, chili peppers, or peppercorns.
  • A sweater or a t-shirt from a favorite brand or store.
  • A subscription to a sports or business magazine you know he'll enjoy reading.
  • A selection of his favorite movies. Check what he has already before buying though.
  • A watch. Have it engraved with love from you. This suits the more serious couple.
  • Grooming products. Help him to stay looking his best.
  • Boxer shorts. There might be a hint tied up in this type of gift!
  • Lingerie, let him unwrap it and then you wear it, just for him. Remember, men are visual creatures.

Tips

  • Guys don't usually like glass, because that's a "guy-give-girl" thing.
  • If he loves you that much, anything you do as he will love with all his heart and still give you kisses and hugs afterwards.
  • Pay attention to his hobbies and activities. Guys are not always about drinking and sports. If he's into model planes, trains or ships, talk to the staff at the hobby shop he usually gets his supplies and find out what he's always looking at. Get him to show you his setup and plans, then get him something that's on his list without you having asked for something specific. Same thing if he collects comics or plays roleplaying games. A new game book or supplement can lead to an entire weekend of fun for both of you.
  • A man who reads may appreciate a bookstore gift certificate.
  • Many men like gadgets, especially multi-tool pocket knives and other knives. Find out if he collects these or likes them, watch him when you pass displays while going out shopping for something else. That can be a very romantic gift. You may find him using it on your behalf next time a bottle needs opening or something needs to be fixed!

Snag Your Perfect NYE Date

It’s hard to believe, but 2011 is right around the corner.  With parties galore, you’re ready to ring in the New Year with the perfect date. Only problem? You haven’t exactly figured out who that might be. Don’t fret girl, we’ve got it all figured out for ya.

Your BGF
You and your BGF are like two peas in a pod. When you’re hanging out, he always makes you LOL. But even though he’s jokester, you know for a fact he’s always got your back.
Why he’s perfect: So much for having to worry about awkward silences with your plus one. Since you get eachother already, you’re setting yourself up for a stress-less evening, leaving plenty of time to relax and have fun with friends.
How to ask him: Skip stressing about finding a party pal and give your BGF a call. Tell him you’re in need of a date and, instead of trying to impress your crush, you’d rather casually go with him (he IS, after all, your best boy bud). He’s always been there when you needed him before, so why would this be any different? Just leave the midnight smooching to a simple peck on the cheek at most. Don’t want to start the year off on an awkward foot now, do ya?

The cutie from class
It’s a good thing you’re acing math because the only thing you’ve been able to focus on is that hottie in the front row. He seems nice and is good at math too, not to mention, his baby blue eyes make you melt.  Um, Taylor Lautner, who?
Why he’s perfect: This is a great chance to get to know your crush. From how he spent the holidays to plans for 2011, you’ll have tons of things to chat about. Even better, with tons of other people there, you don’t have to worry about the stress of a one-on-one date.
How to ask him: Get up the guts to ask this cutie to the NYE party in person. Friends on Facebook? Shoot him a quick message, asking if he wants to grab pizza with some other buds this week. Yeah, it’ll be nerve-racking, but it’ll show him you’re interested and not too shy to talk.

Your BF
You and your BF are a match made in heaven. You’ve been together for a while and he’s always the perfect date to any occasion. You wouldn’t want anyone besides your Romeo by your side.
Why he’s perfect: For one thing, you don’t have to worry about getting a rejection to your invite. Second, you’ll get to start the New Year with a smooch from someone special. Can’t get much better than that!
How to ask him: Obviously, he already knows he’s your go-to dude, but try asking him to the party in a special way to mix things up a tad. Slip a note into his pocket while your hanging on the couch watching a DVD or spell it out in a game of Scrabble.  Whatever you do, it’s sure to make him smile.

*NYE = New Years Eve

Why Do We Fall Out of Love

“I don’t love you anymore.” It’s one of the worst sentences a person can hear, especially when it comes out of the blue in the middle of what you thought was a good relationship. You thought things were moving along nicely and suddenly they hit you with the revelation that they’re not that into you anymore. Why would this happen? How is it possible? Is there something you could have done to prevent it? Here’s the harsh truth: a surprise break-up is only a surprise for the one getting dumped. Here are some likely reasons for why your sweetie gave you the boot.

1. They’re Bored
One major reason why someone falls out of love is sheer boredom. In fact, in the 2010 Great Male Survey, askmen.com readers cited this as the number one reason why their girlfriends left them. When you’re in a long-term, committed relationship, it’s easy to start taking things for granted and slipping into a routine that is comfortable and boring. Particularly during the college years, people want to see and do new things all the time. They want to get their hands dirty, make a few mistakes and really let loose. If you can’t keep up, you may be in danger of getting left in the dust.

2. They feel neglected
You may think that you’re doing enough to make your partner feel appreciated and loved, but unfortunately he/she may be feeling differently. Especially with girls, as they are growing up, they pick up the incredibly annoying habit of pouting instead of talking when something is bothering them. Yes, it’s infantile and unproductive when your sweetie fails to talk about her insecurities, but she puts up with plenty of your unappealing idiosyncrasies too. A.K. Boyle, PhD, offers the best --and simplest-- solution in his article “Get the Love You Need:” do what you think is enough to keep him or her happy—and then do some more.

3. There’s someone else
Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what makes someone fall out of love, but in the case of the other Mman/woman, the reason is clear. Most of the time, a person who is happy in her/his relationship won’t go out looking for a replacement, but love (or lust) happens in unexpected of places, and is especially easy to find on a campus full of like-minded singles. It is never an easy thing to deal with when your partner falls for someone else and the chance of a solution that doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings is virtually nonexistent.

4. You grow apart
We all change as time goes by, and in college, we change quickly. Sometimes the person you got together with becomes someone you don’t recognize after a while. “A person’s views and desires on things like goals, priorities, integrity and relationships often alters significantly during the college years, even changing from month to month,” writes A.W. Chickering in his book, “Education and Identity”.” It’s possible that the reason your sweetheart is falling out of love is simply that their needs, priorities and goals are different than they were when you started dating. Or, perhaps you’re the one who’s changed.

Ciri-Ciri Pria Berselingkuh

Dia mulai semakin sering memancing pertengkaran
Ini adalah alasannya untuk marah dan pergi menemui kekasih gelapnya. Namun, bisa juga dilakukan karena perasaannya yang bercampur aduk setelah menghianati Anda.

Selalu membicarakan kemungkinan hubungan Anda berdua berakhir

Selera musiknya tiba-tiba berubah
Karena jadi lebih sering mendengarkan musik kesukaan "sang pacar", ia pun jadi ikut menyukai musik tersebut.

Harga dirinya rendah
Bukan berarti lalu dia pasti berselingkuh. Namun, orang-orang seperti ini umumnya cenderung mencari rasa aman dan umpan balik positif dari orang lain. Nah, salah satu cara mendapatkannya, ya, lewat perselingkuhan!

Dia terus-menerus mengkritik orang lain (lawan jenisnya)

11 Tips on How to Forget Your Ex

 http://divorcedatingpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/breaking-up-ex.jpg
Most people will at some point in their life have to deal with a breakup with a partner and the emotions that comes with it. Sometimes it takes a while to get back on your feet and other times you feel better after a shorter period of time. It all depends on what type of person you are and how serious the relationship was. Here are some advice on how to make this period as bearable as possible.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scented Candles
  • Bath Oils
  • Bubble Baths
  • Facial Gift Certificates
  • Health Club Memberships
  • Massage Gift Certificates
  • Movie Rentals
  • Sports Tickets
  • Chocolates
  1. Talk to your friends.
  2. Get clear with your ex. If there are a lot of unresolved issues involving money, possessions, etc., clear them up.
  3. Distract yourself. Movies, sightseeing, outdoor activities, games and a good book are all possibilities.
  4. Take up a new hobby or enroll in some classes.
  5. Exercise - put your mind on something new, like training for a marathon, improving your tennis game, or working on those abs.
  6. Work hard. Work can be a great distraction, especially if you feel like you're accomplishing something.
  7. Indulge yourself. Chocolates, massages, facials, shopping sprees - whatever helps make you feel good about yourself.
  8. Reevaluate Yourself
One issue with breakup is that of self worth. It does not matter who's fault it was or who left who in the end we all tend to see the relationship as a failure and in turn see ourself as a failure. Many men and women hung up on their ex partners tend to either wallow in self pity or self loathing and exaggerate everything in their emotional anguish making it impossible to forget your ex because you cannot sort out your own feelings for yourself. A Journey of self discover is often what sets many people free but how this is done is so varied and dependent on the person I cannot advice anything except that concentrating on your own feelings for yourself must happen before you start trying to work out how to forget your ex, in fact this process will help forgetting them immensely!
  9. Do Not Be IrrationalWe all do it at some point, we get very drunk or go out and spend more than we can afford on clothes or food or anything else we enjoy to cover our problems. This can also manifest itself in terrible outings either trying desperately to get our ex back or to try to make them jealous. In the end they are irrational actions brought about by a need to take action of some sort. Simply put ... don't do it! They may seem like a good idea or clever at the time but they are a symptom of a heart in turmoil trying to work out how to forget your ex.
  10. Do Not Demonize Your Ex
One thing that we are all tempted to do is to cast your ex in a bad light, to train yourself to hate them rather than want them back in a reactive exercise to crush any longing and pain by making them seem less desirable and unneeded. While you may envision yourself free of their influence because they will become detestable to you this creates more problems than it is worth and your new demonized feelings will be all mixed up with love making a tangle of emotions that can overwhelm, confuse and hurt you and any other relationships you may get involved with.
  11. Date other people.

15 Steps to Heal Broken Heart

 http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk188/Lucynka55/Ways_to_Heal_A_Broken_Heart_by_flav.jpg
1. Try to understand why you are upset. Understand that everything happens for a reason. What exact moment made you feel upset?

2. Don't think about whose fault it was - at one time or another, everyone makes mistakes. Don't worry about it.
3. Do something quiet and relaxing to help you feel better. Maybe you want to take a hot bath, or meditate, or read a book. That's fine.

4. In an hour, or two, or whenever you're ready, start thinking about whether you are ready to accept the other person's feelings.

5. If you are, go ahead, call them, write them a note, or whatever you need to do. Maybe you want to talk face-to-face. They may not be willing to see you, or talk to you, but you should make an effort. Even if they turn you down, you feel better that you tried, and maybe they'll recognize that you made an effort.

6. Understand what causes a broken heart in the first place. When we are in a mutual loving relationship we are constantly transferring our life energy (chi/ka/qi/prana) to our beloved automatically and more so when we think of them. This is based on the Huna principle: "Energy flows where attention goes". In a balanced relationship this transference of life energy is strong and has equal amounts of incoming and outgoing life energy. This helps both members feel secure and stable in a relationship even if it might be long distance. An unbalanced relationship causes this energetic flow to fall out of sync and results in an uneven distribution of incoming and outgoing life energy. This is why when we feel insecure, needy or clingy in a relationship even when there might not be a real reason behind it. The likely cause for this is because you stopped being your ex's main attention point in life and your ex didn't allow energy to flow back to you. Your ex might have had some other priorities (new job, changes in family, moving to a new city) and this lack of incoming energy is what causes one to become needy, anxious, unsettled and insecure in a relationship. But now that you have been told that you won't be able to continue your relationship with your beloved there is a conflict in mind and heart. You are still transferring life energy to your beloved automatically by thinking of them(you do love them after all!) but this is resulting in an inner conflict as you know you should stop. Your heart chakra is wide open and your mind know nows that you won't be getting any more incoming energy back from your beloved but your body is still expecting it. This is why there is a great need to focus your energy on other aspects of life to balance your outgoing energy to something that will require your complete focus.

7. What we miss when drawing away from a relationship is that we can't express our love anymore to someone. Ways to continue this form of heartfelt expression (and keep our wellbeing in balance on an energetic level) is to write poetry, paint, sing, dance, and do whatever it takes to allow you to transform your pain into something productive!

8. Move on. When you feel you are ready to open your heart again, find someone else to be with. Make sure that this person is not a replacement for your ex, but that you appreciate who he/she is for her true self. This is a great time to find someone else that has the attributes that you perhaps thought your ex didn't have. Say to yourself: "My next boy/girlfriend will be someone that enjoys Zen gardening just as much as I do and won't laze about on the couch all day". By focusing on these aspects you will ensure that you find someone in the future that you can share interests together with and therefore further guarantee your happiness.

9. Smile! Seriously, smiling makes you feel better and if you gather a few good, close friends and have a laugh together, you'll remember how good life was without him/her and that you're okay really.

10. The moment he, she or it hammers the last drop of blood from your still loving/beating heart, stop arguing with that person or the fantasy voice of that person about how they are wrong and you are right. Everytime you catch yourself arguing your point in your own mind, just say stop and focus on something completely different

11. Put away the memories. When you regain composure from step 2, put the remainder candy wrappers, music, item of smell memory in the box with the rest of the memory debris. Keep out the picture.

  • Every day for a week when you walk by the picture of your former beloved, say out loud, "Forget you and the horse you rode in on," or some other suitable invective and then catch yourself arguing with the memory and say stop. Say it out loud, be your filthy angriest self in these mutterings.
  • Every day for the second week when you walk by the picture of your former beloved, say out loud. I miss you, and then catch yourself arguing with the memory and say stop.
  • Every day for the third week when you walk by the picture of your former soul mate, say I am sorry out loud to the picture.
12. Let time heal. It has been one month now. Go to someplace where you used to go or be near your so-called one-true love and go there with a friend (not alone, this is important). Mention 1 time and 1 time only how you used to drink at this very bar or your used to fend off Mr or Mrs. Wonderful's advances in that same back store room, mention it once only and then have a drink or file some papers, or do what ever you used to do, only now with a different person, preferably a comfortable friend who can smile knowingly then move the conversation forward.

13. Read a book every night before you go to sleep. You might never have read books, but nothing moves you outside of yourself better than a book, not a movie, not a music video, read a book. It will help you heal.

14. Practice being honest to yourself every day. In fact, be honest to everyone. Living in the truth of every moment will allow you to carve your way to a better relationship the next time around.

15. Speak to people. Speak to friends. They have all been through the same and will gladly help ease your burden of dealing with a broken heart. Lean on your friends as much as you like, this will also help you determine your true friends in life. If your friends try to persuade you to get over your ex by finding someone new too soon then this friend might not be the best influence for you. Try out forums online. Knowing that thousands like you are going through the same pain helps a lot.

Five Steps Before a Romantic Kiss

 http://www.bbc.co.uk/switch/slink/images/200x200/couple_kiss.jpg
1. Get your lips in proper kissing order. The most kissable lips are smooth and sweet, not dry, chapped and tense. The guidelines in How to Get Kissable Lips will help both men and women make their lips look more attractive and inviting.

Here are the basics:
  • Exfoliate your lips with sugar to make them soft. You never want your lips hard.
  • Moisturize your lips to keep them soft.
  • Relax your lips by parting them ever so slightly.

2. Look inviting and approachable. You might not realize it when you send a "leave me alone" message. Uncross your arms, keep your hands away from your face, make eye contact, and smile! Similarly, read his or her body language - is this person into you? Or does this person seem uncomfortable?

3. Break the "touch barrier." Touch the person lightly on the arm or shoulder when you're talking. Just make it a quick, innocent touch and don't make a big deal out of it. Holding hands is also a good way to break the touch barrier. If everything is going well, try kissing the person on the cheek. If you find your lips near their ear (like if you're hugging someone from behind, or whispering something to them) go in for a gentle kiss on the cheek and see how they respond. Please note that the touch barrier is culture dependent. In certain cultures, e.g. Islamic, breaking the touch barrier is a big taboo that can land you in serious trouble. Be very careful.

4. Look at their lips. Make eye contact and then move your gaze briefly down to the person's lips. Then move your eyes back up to meet theirs and smile demurely. You don't have to be really obvious about it. Many people will take the hint, especially if they've read one of the many articles that lists this as a sign that a person wants to kiss or be kissed.

5. Approach for the kiss. Depending on your starting position you may need only to turn your head, or you may need to lean in a bit. You may want to use your hands to gently urge your partner’s body or head into position—you just want to guide his or her movement a little, you don’t want to forcibly move any part of his or her body or hold your partner in an uncomfortable position—but in general you just want to position yourself correctly and let your partner meet you. As you near your partner’s lips, maintain eye contact.

Sad Poems - Poems about Death

Poems Graphic #16
What we gain can be far more than we could possibly lose

Never Alone

The poem
I recently lost a woman that raised me, through actions and her loving guidance, from birth. She showed me how to love others, consider their feelings, and to always have pride in myself and know that I am loved.

I will miss her greatly, but God needed another angel, and she already has the experience from her years here - guiding and loving all, from her closest family to a person she might be waiting in line with at the grocery store.

Everything I do, everything I accomplish, I do with her in my mind and in my heart.

Never Alone
by Rodney Belcher
I feel you in the morning
When at first I awake
Your thought is with me
With each decision I make

You'd been around forever
Since the first breath I took
Now I have to go on alone
But for love, I need not look

Cause by what you bestowed
In our short time together
Will last in my heart
Forever and ever

Although you've left
And now walk above
I'm never alone
I'm wrapped in your love

Enjoy now your long waited reward
Feel peace that your love continues on
What was taught to me, will be taught to mine
Cause you live on in me even after you've gone

How to Attract a Smart Teenage Girl

http://www.gramediashop.com/images/preview/9789792744590.jpgEver wonder what smart teenage girls like? Here's what they (often) look for in a guy. Fortunately, you're in luck. Smart girls are people too, and they are not impervious to a good smile :)
edit Steps

1. Good News you don't have to be an honor student to get a smart girl in high school! Smart girls are attracted to more than just smart boys. Be yourself and act mature. You may be surprised by the results!
2. Be Mature, smart girls like mature boys. Making jokes about farting, getting hit in the crotch, or laughing unnecessarily loud when someone else makes a joke in bad taste is not appreciated.
3. Watch Their Language, smart girls swear too, but they are not impressed by excessive "F-bombs" or other rude or sexual language. Crude jokes make you sound dumb and not worth her time. We don't want that now, do we?
4. Dress Well. This does not mean labels, necessarily, but nice, neat, good clothing is great. Most smart girls are going to look beyond the label, but they will not, however, like bad clothes.
5. Be Fit. Health is a big deal for intelligent girls. Most of them will be interested in taking part in sports, or at least exercising. They will be impressed if you take good care of your body.
6. Don't Try Too Hard you don't need to act really macho all the time. It's cute for a bit, but when it's overdone, it is awful. Smart girls will look inside, and will find showing off aggravating. Act natural.
7. Don't Be Too Helpful acting overly chivalrous to the wrong girl is endlessly annoying. Holding doors and offering chairs are great, but if she says "no thanks," take the hint! She may find it offensive and irritating if you don't!

How to Find Your Soulmate

Many people feel that there's one person out there who can enrich your life in a way that no one else can. If this is true, how can you increase your chances of finding this person? And when you meet him or her, how will you know it's your soulmate?

Steps

  1. Make yourself a better person. Instead of waiting for your soulmate to appear, make yourself apparent to him or her. Become the spectacular human being you want to be. Expressing your individuality is the closest you can come to advertising your soulmate potential. Not only will you stand out, but you'll also be doing things that are more likely to bring you closer to your soulmate, who probably has similar interests and goals.

  2. Remember that your soulmate might not be what you expect. If there's only one person in the world who can be your soulmate, what are the chances that she'll live in your town, look like the people you grew up with, or even speak the same language? If you're expecting your soulmate to be love at first sight, you might never find what you're looking for. So keep an open mind. Part of the romance of having a soulmate is being pleasantly surprised.

  3. Be patient. Fate doesn't work on a schedule. Your soulmate might cross your path when you're 8 or 80 years old. Yes, you might look forward to spending the majority of your life with your soulmate--perhaps buying a house, getting married, starting a family--but it may or may not be in the cards. A soulmate isn't always a lifemate. Your soulmate will color your world no matter how old you are, so don't rush into things, or else you might end up forcing the wrong person into the soulmate box, which will cause pain for everyone involved.

  4. Accept people for who they are, not who you want them to be. When you've got all these fantasies flying around in your head about how wonderful and special your soulmate will be, it can be easy to look for those specific characteristics and features in anyone you get involved with. Unfortunately, unrealistic expectations can ruin a relationship, and might even chase your soulmate away. Whoever it is that you think might be your soulmate, appreciate their individuality and trust that if this person is your soulmate, they'll never need to change who they are for you, just like you'll never need to change who you are for them.

  5. Weather the storms. Contrary to what popular media would have you believe, meeting your soulmate doesn't guarantee "happily ever after." Things won't get easier when you find that special someone and in fact, they might get even harder. Ultimately, a soulmate is someone you can grow with, and the only way to grow together is to face challenges together. So if you put your heart and soul into a relationship, stick with it through the ups and downs, even when you question whether it's meant to be, and you might look back decades later and realize that you were with your soulmate all along.
Now you too can experience God's true love.

Tips

  • Find yourself before you find your soulmate. Once you're happy with yourself, a soulmate will make you even happier, but no one can fill a void created by not knowing who you are. Only you can do that.

  • The more people you meet, the more likely you are to meet your soulmate, so try and talk to as many people as possible. You never know if the next person you talk to could be yours soulmate.
  • Pursue interests and activities that mean a lot to you. The Internet has made this a whole lot easier. Check forums, listings, classifieds, and Internet mailing lists (known as "listservs") for local events or meetings that are likely to attract people with similar interests or passions.
  • Don't be too picky. If you keep holding out for the perfect person, you're guaranteed to miss out. If you're in a room full of people with similar interests, you should be able to pick out one or two people who you'd like to date--not 10, not 0. Make it a point to not leave the event without showing interest and making a connection with a few people.
  • When you meet someone who feels like soulmate potential, don't get carried away. It's so easy to get lost in fantasies of how awesome your relationship might be, but with those fantasies come high expectations, and sometimes those expectations are unrealistic! Make it a point to remind yourself that this new person is human, which means they're not perfect. They will make mistakes, and you need to be ready to cope and forgive, rather than act shocked that the person dares to be anything but perfect.
  • While you're waiting for your soulmate, people might questions why you're single. They might even imply that something is "wrong" with you if you're "still" single. Brace yourself for that kind of ignorance. Remember that you don't have to defend your being single, just like it's rude to attack the validity of someone's relationship.
  • Have you ever wanted or looked for something, but only found it when you stopped looking? The same principle might work for finding your soulmate. Become so busy with your life that you totally forget about meeting your soulmate and, odds are, that's when your soulmate will pop up.

How to Give Your Boyfriend Space

It's a bit of a running joke sometimes, about the man in your life needing more "space", but in reality, it's no joke at all. Any relationship in which two people behave in an overly dependent manner can feel oppressive or smothering for either party, and indicates a need for one or both people to learn to cope apart as well as together.
A healthy relationship will always benefit from giving each other space, and never more so than when you feel that your boyfriend is champing at the bit to be "released" a little more often to just be by himself or to spend time with his mates. If you're finding it challenging to let go even though the relationship's becoming a bit too much to handle, it's a sign that now more than ever, you do need to learn to give him his space. Here are some suggestions to help you. Give him space enough to miss you but never leave it long enough for him too forget and stop needing you !.

Steps

  1. It's normal to worry but it's more important to look for solutions
It's normal to worry but it's more important to look for solutions
Reach a decision that it's alright to give your boyfriend space. The sooner you accept that giving one another space is normal, healthy, and indeed necessary for a flourishing relationship, the better for the both of you. If things have been reaching breakpoint in your relationship, try letting the situation go for a while. Stop wanting to control what he's doing, and stop worrying and being frustrated about what you're not getting out of the relationship. Instead, just relax in the present moment. By letting things be, they often have a way of fixing themselves on their own.

    • Realize that your boyfriend is more likely to want to break up with you if you keep breathing down his neck than if you give him the space he craves.
    • Don't assume the worst when he asks for space; if he still gives signs of caring about you and wanting to see you now and then, take it at face value that he really does need space. Perhaps he's stressed from a heavy workload, or snowed under with exam studies. Try to look for the actual reasons beyond yourself.
    • Trust. Trust that your love will blossom with space, rather than wither. Part of this is about examining your own motives for being with him – if it's just love, you'll unearth this trust. But if it's security, money, prestige, or some other non-love reason you're with him for, now is a good time to re-examine your purpose in the relationship.

  2. Yeah... and? And why?
    Yeah... and? And why?
Ask questions to clarify what's going on. Without appearing paranoid or overly emotional, be forthright in asking your boyfriend what he sees as being given space, and how much time he's contemplating. Is he wanting a few days or weeks now, or does he want this to be a permanent arrangement, such as having every Saturday to himself? This can help to reassure you that he has sound reasons for wanting space that don't involve breaking up with you, and it gives both of you some solid ground to work out the duration or precise times you won't be turning up in his life.
    • This is a good opportunity for you to also outline the space you'd like too. Don't be bratty about it; simply think of genuine reasons what you'd like, such as Friday nights free to spend with your girlfriends!

  3. OK, so you want every weekend free from now on? I'd like to see you at least one weekend a month!
OK, so you want every weekend free from now on? I'd like to see you at least one weekend a month!
Sort something out amicably. At this stage, it's vital that you don't come across as needy, petulant, or terrified of losing him. Whatever you do, do not walk off in a huff or throw a fit. Both reactions are calculated to have him retreat even further into his shell and feel justified for wanting even more space! Instead, visualize yourself as a person negotiating something that is perfectly reasonable, then go ahead and negotiate it without appearing too down.
    • Don't look like you need him. It's absolutely vital that you show you're not needy, clingy, or desperate for someone else to complete you. Remind yourself that you're your own strong, confident, and independent woman. You don't need him to ensure your peace and happiness. A strong and confident woman with a sense of her own purpose in life is extremely attractive to guys, so you'll be doing both of you a favor by being this way.
    • Avoid begging for anything. There is no harm in asking him occasionally for help, for extra time together, and for indications of your future direction together. It becomes undesirable when you fall into asking constantly, begging him to do things with you or to spend more time with you. And it's worse if you put on a turn, cry, and generally act miserable. Just don't do it!

  4. Spend more time with your friends
Spend more time with your friends
Shape up your own time. Instead of feeling mopey and clingy, see this as a great opportunity to occupy yourself with a range of things to do and friends to meet up with. Rediscover or uncover a hobby, new or old friends, and activities. Become more involved in your career direction and perhaps think about improving your chances of getting a promotion. Get some purpose back into your life that allows you to grow and exist apart from your boyfriend, and to be able to prove to him that you're capable on your own, which will reassure him more than anything else that you're not going to suffocate him.
    • Get outdoors and do some fun activities. Long walks, hikes, climbing, swimming, sailing, etc., will improve your mood considerably.
    • If you feel as if you've lost yourself when he asks for space, this is a good indication that you need the space as much as he does. Spend some time contemplating, reflecting, and even meditating. If you're not sure about what direction you're taking in life, or what you really care about beyond your boyfriend, use this time to do some deep thinking.
    • Realize and embrace the power of showing that you have a life of your own.

  5. Be patient but also keep active
Be patient but also keep active
Be patient. If you both want the relationship to succeed at a gradual pace, then love the space for the chances it provides you both. Take time to discover each other and yourselves rather than always trying to please one another or set one another off when things don't fall into place as you'd like. When you allow your boyfriend the space to think, to do the things he loves, and to be with his mates, he'll start missing you soon enough and wanting you by his side again.

  6. Respect his choices and reap the rewards
Respect his choices and reap the rewards
Respect his choices and his freedom. The more respect and freedom you give your boyfriend, the more he'll come to you, because you'll be someone who doesn't make demands on him. Nobody likes demands, and guys are especially uncomfortable when they feel the pressure of romantic demands. Such pressure can push them away from people pushing the demands on them. On the other hand, if a guy can spend time with someone who loves him for who he is, and just lets him be himself with no conditions or demands placed on him, he'll absolutely love you. Love unconditionally, which simply means: set no conditions!

  7. Be best mates
    Be best mates
Be his best friend. Listen when he talks and don't comment until he's done talking. When you do comment, be positive and supportive. Don't criticize or judge – if you feel you need to do that, think very carefully about why you want to be with him. Be his buddy, make him feel at ease and comfortable with you. He'll soon start pouring out all of his thoughts and feelings, not just about his life and other people, but he'll soon begin to uncover his true feelings for you as well. Why? Because he feels safe and comfortable again to do so.

  8. Think over your own habits; any worth changing?
Think over your own habits; any worth changing?
Change your own bad habits. If you have any bad habits you know he doesn't like (like whining, clinging, gossiping, etc.), seek to change them. And prove to him you are changed. He may test you, so give him time – his new trust won't come fast, so you need to be patient and consistent. Always remember, people do change once they make up their mind to do so, which means so can you!

  9. This isn't about pretending to give him more space...
This isn't about pretending to give him more space...
Don't give your boyfriend space as a ruse just to manipulate him and then try to seek to control him again. Do it because you want to change the way you approach your relationship together and because you love him and trust that this is the right thing for your relationship at this point. When you approach the space issue with the right mindset of broadening your own life experiences and respecting his time to do the same, you'll be more confident and independent no matter what the final outcome.

  10. Relax and be happy; enjoy being together!
Relax and be happy; enjoy being together!
Relax and be the girl he fell in love with. Be happy and carefree, learn to love yourself as much as you love him, and find constructive ways to share time together and apart. Once you've got the balance sorted, you'll never look back

How to Prepare For a Date

You've snagged a date with someone special, and now you've got the chance to make an impression. Preparing for a date can be nerve-wracking, but can be approached in a step-by-step manner that'll assure you make it to your date fully prepared. The rest is up to you.

Steps :

# 1. Do some homework. In the days before a date, take time out to catch up with current events and hot topics. These are great conversation starters and you will be able to impress your date with your knowledge. Try to remember as much as you can about previous conversations together so you can follow up on them. Have a couple of funny stories or conversation pieces up your sleeve in case you need them. There are now many dating advice online forums and sites that one can access in the internet. The problem with some of these sites is that they are not actually made by professionals who have studied and researched their dating advice. It would be prudent to also consider the legitimacy of the dating advice as well as the veracity of it.

# 2. Start looking and feeling good in advance. Set time aside for exercise in the days before the date, whether it's yoga or push ups. Eat well and get plenty of sleep.

# 3. Pick your clothes early. http://pad2.whstatic.com/images/thumb/c/cc/Clothing_120.jpg/180px-Clothing_120.jpg You should have several outfits laid out before the day of the date. This way you won't have any last minute panics when you realize you have a spaghetti stain down your favourite shirt. Plus, it will allow you to try on a few different looks on the day of the date and see which one fits your mood most comfortably at the time.

# 4. Clean up on the day of the date. Take a nice, long shower or bath. Ensure you have clean hair and nails. You should smell good, but not overpowering. Avoid heavy perfumes and aftershaves, especially if your date could be allergic. Ladies, go easy when applying make-up and aim for a natural but groomed look. If things go well he will eventually see you without make-up - and you will want him to recognize you at that point. Shortly before leaving for your date, floss and brush your teeth thoroughly.

# 5. Think positively. You're going out to enjoy yourself, after all. Don't start worrying about what disasters could happen, because that way they are far more likely to. If you are getting nervous, call a good friend, watch your favourite comedy show or listen to upbeat music. Loosen up. Focus on having fun and you inevitably will.
# 6. Be punctual. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your rendezvous. http://pad3.whstatic.com/images/thumb/d/d6/Prepdate6_970.jpg/180px-Prepdate6_970.jpg
Keeping your date waiting will start things off on the wrong foot.

How to Date a Hopelessly Romantic Person When You Are Not Hopelessly Romantic

Are you with someone who is captivated by love stories, candlelight dinners, and old-fashioned chivalry? If you and your significant other have very different ideas of what romance should be, here is how to come to terms with your differences.

Steps

1.Understand that there is a reason that we are attracted to the people we are attracted to. This is because relationships are the learning playground of life. How we choose to relate to others gives us information about ourselves. When we see things that we like in others, it illuminates those things that we like and admire in ourselves. And when we see things that we dislike in others, it often signals that we dislike something in ourselves.
2.Consider what your opinion says about you. For example, if you like that they are "hopelessly romantic," you may have your own "hopelessly romantic" side that you would like to bring more attention to. If you dislike that they are so hopelessly romantic, it may mean that you have closed down the idea of romance in yourself, and their romance serves to remind you of all of the ways in which you were hurt when you were deeply connected to someone.
3.Give yourself permission to see the world differently. You do not have to see the world as a hopeless romantic does in order to relate to one. Your perception--as well as theirs--has merit, and is worthy of your appreciation and attention.
4.Don't confuse romance with materialism. Hopeless romantics can be low-maintenance dates/partners. Instead of needing to wow them with expensive gifts, dinners, and vacations, you can please them with gestures that are less expensive. Taking late-night walks, cooking a fancy dinner at home, and writing love letters are just a few things you can do to keep your hopelessly romantic partner happy without breaking the bank.
5.Think of some things that your partner accepts about you. There is probably something you are passionate about that your partner is not. If they accept and encourage this passion, appreciate that, and seek to return the favor. And, if your partner doesn't accept your ideas or interests, this might be a good time to talk about how you can both make your relationship healthier by valuing each other's individuality.
6.Remember the essence of romance is doing something that you would not normally do, simply because you care. You may never buy a bunch of flowers for yourself, and that's exactly what makes it special. The recipient knows you did it just to show you care, and for no other reason.

Be Romantic Person

What "being romantic" means varies widely from person to person, but at its core, romance involves doing something to express affection in a meaningful yet unexpected way. A true act of romance requires creativity and sincerity, often inspired by love (either its presence or its possibility). While harboring affection for someone might be easy, translating it into romance usually is not. There are millions of romantic ideas in books, movies and on the Internet, but true romance comes from within. Here's how to get in touch with your inner romantic person.

Steps :
1. Break the monotony. Many people associate the beginning of a relationship with romance, excitement and inspiration because everything is new. You've just met this person and the relationship is unfolding--what will happen tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Will he call? Will we kiss? Will she visit? But after the relationship is established, we settle into a routine, and nothing is new anymore. To be romantic, to reintroduce the excitement that characterized the beginning of the relationship, do something different, something that your partner wouldn't expect. The more out of the ordinary, the better!

2. Court them. Pretend that you and the person just met, and you want the person to fall for you. What would you do to impress them? To show them that you're interested? To win them over? Treat your partner like they're single, like you're trying to earn their affection and trust. The opposite of being romanced is being taken for granted. No one wants to feel like they've already been "caught" and it's over and done with. Put on a show! Stay on your toes! The most romantic ideas come to people when they fear they might lose the one they love. But you don't have to actually be on the verge of losing someone in order to tap into that mindset!

3. Make it personal. Romance is not "one-size-fits-all." The stereotypical icons of romance (roses, candles and chocolate) can only go so far. Think about what really gets that special someone excited. Recognize what makes your partner unique, and find/do things for them that only they would appreciate. What are their quirky (perhaps secret) interests, obsessions and fantasies? Whenever they're shopping, talking, or watching a movie, what makes their eyes light up? Pay attention! Being romantic means acknowledging how special a person is, and that means demonstrating that you know--better than anyone else in the world--what makes them unique.

4. Focus on the little things. Romance can be practiced every day, and it doesn't have to be expensive or grand. In fact, sometimes the most romantic moments are simple, spontaneous and free. There are millions of ways to say "I love you" and "I'm lucky to have you." Think of the world as your medium. You can write it, say it, sculpt it, look it, hide it, shout it, paint it, kiss it, fold it, grow it, touch it, and express it in unlimited ways. Make it a habit to find a new way to be romantic every day. Be creative and have fun with it!

5. Be sincere. To make someone feel appreciated, you have to really, truly be thankful for their presence in your life. Maintaining that sense of gratitude takes conscious effort. It's easy to forget how amazing someone is when you see them every day, but if you constantly remind yourself how lucky you are to share your life with that person, every day will be the most romantic day of your life.
